International Folk Dance

Fridays, 8-10:30 p.m.

International Folk Dance Club of Detroit meets for lessons and open dancing. Dances come from around the world but most from SE Europe (mainly the Balkans). We teach a few dances at the beginning, then do about 50 different dances each Friday from a repertoire of many hundreds. Most are group dances, people joined in a line with a leader, only a few partner dances, so it's mostly up to you how much you dance! Everyone is welcome, 25-30 people attend each Friday. Casual attire, *soft soled* shoes, no heels. 248-376-6992
