Nearly 500 Honeycrisp apple trees have planted in a small urban orchard on Mack Ave. in East Detroit. When those trees bear fruit, Core Orchards Detroit will be the first U-pick orchard in the city bringing fresh, affordable produce to the community. To help continue to fund the necessary tools and services needed to sustain the orchard, Core Orchards is hosting the third annual Cider Slush fundraiser.
