From June 2 to August 25, car enthusiasts are invited to start each summer weekend enjoying auto “show and tell” at Lingenfelter Cars & Coffee. Each Saturday morning event will open from 8 – 10 am, rain or shine. There is no fee to participate but guests are asked to donate to Gleaners Community Food Bank. Nonperishable food items and monetary donations will be accepted on-site. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, browse the indoor showroom, display their personalized cars, and meet other car buffs from the community and around the country. Advance tickets $15 can be purchased online May 7-June 1 (Paypal only + postage); or May 7- June 8 at Ace Barnes Hardware on Stadium, Downtown Home and Garden, Matthaei Botanical Gardens (cash or credit) and at Dixboro General Store (cash only). On Garden Walk Day, tickets are $20, cash only and can be purchased at garden locations only. Tickets, maps, photos, and garden descriptions at annarborfarmandgarden.org. Grillin’ for Food Gatherers is a community picnic for the whole family that features eclectic live music by local bands, gourmet grilled sausages, side dishes from more than 30 local food purveyors, regional beer, wine, and plenty of activities for kids hosted by Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. Grillin’ combines fun with a serious mission: fighting hunger where we live. The event raises awareness and support for Food Gatherers’ food rescue program and food bank. Funds raised from Grillin’ enable the organization to distribute the equivalent of nearly 15,000 meals per day to 44,500 adults, seniors and children struggling with hunger. Adult tickets: $75; Kid tickets: $10
