Merry adventurers from far and wide are invited to explore the daring tale of Robin Hood at the Fairy Tale Festival 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 on the grounds of the historic Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores. The Ford House grounds will be transformed into the legendary land of Nottingham where little lords, ladies, jolly outlaws and fairy folk will enjoy games, crafts, live performances and more. Costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 day-of. Children under 2 years old are free. Tickets and more information: $12 in advance, $15 day-of

Japan Week, sponsored by the U-M Center for Japanese Studies, is a week of Japan-related programming for youth and families. Storytime at the Museum, which promotes art enjoyment for our youngest patrons, will feature a story about Japan this week, and a hands-on activity related to it. Children ages three to six are invited to join Storytime. Parents must accompany children. Siblings are welcome to join the group. Meet in front of the UMMA Store. Free
