The Eastern Michigan University Choral Program plans to brighten and celebrate the holiday season with its first annual Candlelight Concerts. There will be a little something for everyone at the EMU candlelight concert. Traditional holiday carols like Ding Dong Merrily on High, In the Bleak Midwinter, and Silent Night, will be blended with new compositions from Morten Lauridsen, Eric Whitacre, F. Melius Christiansen, Hyo-won Woo, and Shawn Kirchner. Each performance will include a string quartet, dancers and poetry selections intertwined with lighting and music to create an intimate atmosphere for the holiday season.
