2018 Academy Award Nominated Documentary Short Films

Whoever said size matters clearly wasn’t referring to short films. Returning as DFT’s most popular annual program comes the 2018 Academy Award Nominated Shorts. Offering creative visions from all over the world, the screening will feature all five nominees in both the short animation and live-action film categories as one presentation in two sections. From the triumphant tale of a 4-year-old deaf girl in The Silent Child to the battle between Muslims and Christians in Kenya as explored by Watu Wote: All of Us, to the animated plight of an elementary school lost-and-found box in Lou — these shorts are in it for the long hall.
