20 pumpkin patches and corn mazes to visit in metro Detroit this fall

Michigan is cute in the summer but in the fall it's gorgeous. One thing about the Mitten, it never misses the fall assignment when it comes to things to do. In the summer we pick cherries and in the fall we pick pumpkins.

Michigan's pumpkin patches offer hayrides, bonfires, and, most importantly, intricate corn mazes that will impress and frustrate you at the same time.

Here's 20 pumpkin patches and corn mazes in the metro Detroit area for you to get your fall fix.

Kapnick Orchards

Opened in 1958, Kapnick Orchards has its own product line, bakery, and cider mill. If pumpkin picking isn’t your thing — it should be — you can try picking any of the orchard’s other fruits like apples, pears, and grapes.

Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill

Big Red Apple Orchard

Gull Meadow Farms

This year, Gull Meadow Farms corn maze has a very special message “Your Life Matters.” The corn maze features the number to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, which is also painted on one of the farms tractors as well.

CornFun Corn Maze Adventure Park and Pumpkin Patch

For 15 years, CornFun Corn Maze Adventure Park and Pumpkin Patch has celebrated fall in the most fall-friendly way possible: with 13 acres of corn mazes, u-pick pumpkin patches, and trails. This year, a couple of their sunflower fields bloomed late, so there's still a little time to enjoy the sunflowers that is.

Farmer J’s World Record Corn Maze

Summer may have come to close but there’s still time to go fishin’ at Farmer J’s World Record Conmaze. This Dundee-based maze broke two Guinness World Records in 2010 for world’s longest corn maze path and world’s biggest, coming in at 10.5 miles.
