1st annual Corktoberfest

Held in the vacant lot next to the Gaelic League Irish American Club, this brand new festival is a celebration of all things beer. It promises guests access to over 101 different suds, from international macro brews to small batch craft beer options made in Detroit and everything in between. Corktown’s bars and restaurants — which include a world famous BBQ purveyor, a burger bar, a gastropub, and plenty of other restaurants and bars — will be well represented at the beer festival, with samples available for purchase. A cast of DJs, plus games and activities, will round out the event.

Runs 1 to 8 p.m.; 2034 Michigan Ave., Detroit; corktoberfest.beer; Tickets are $25 for pre-sale general admission and $50 for early entry.
