Just in case you haven’t heard, Iggy Pop plays the Fox Theatre on Thursday, April 7. In addition to some of the best numbers from his new record ‘Post Pop Depression,’ we very much hope that the Iguana performs the following songs from throughout his career.

1. “1969”
We know it’s not a Stooges reunion, and that happened already. But this song is amazing, and he should do it.

2. “I Need More” This hilarious song also serves as the title for his thrilling, out-of-print autobiography.

3. “I Got A Right”
Another that’s wishful thinking, but man-- even if he did a half-ass take on this proto-hardcore song, that’d be the grooviest.

4. “The Passenger”
Talk about a sing-along opportunity! If Iggy’s voice is tired, he might consider playing this and just letting the audience take over.

6. “Loose”
It’s asking a lot for anyone to sing this insane song, and we’re not sure he has the voice to do it anymore, but man it’s just the best song, off of perhaps the very best album of the entire rock ‘n’ roll era, ‘Fun House.’

7. “Lust for Life”
We’ve all heard this so many times, in movies, and TV commercials, and on our own listening devices. And yet, we’re still not sick of it! We will all dance like the devil when that bass line starts.

8. “Nightclubbing” The soundtrack to everyone’s decadent period in their early twenties, they pretty much have to knock this one out. Don’t they?

Oh pretty please play this ridiculous song, which absolutely lives up to its name.

10. “Kill City”
This Williamson era tune is so badass, and oh wait, which city is it about in the first place?

11. “I Wanna Be Your Dog”
If you don't want absolutely nothing more than to hear him do this with the killer backing band he has on this tour, perhaps you should donate your ticket to a friend who has a clue.

12. “China Girl”
He’s very likely to do this song, and we cannot wait to hear him perhaps say a few words about his relationship with David Bowie, who co-wrote it and of course had a huge hit with his version of the tune. (Photo: original cover art)
