One to watch, this band. Karmin has broken into the top 20 with the “Brokenhearted” single, they look the part and they’re getting attention. Catch them at St. Andy’s before they blow up.

Perry says that she’s out of her “I Kissed a Girl” phase now, and is an altogether more serious artist. So on the video for “Roar,” from the recent Prism album, she dresses like a female Tarzan and sits in the jungle with big cats. A commentary on the continuing decline of the rain forests? Probably not.

Will she wear meat? Will she sing those songs she sings? What will she do? Who knows? But her Artpop album got mixed reviews so you can bet it’ll be something scandalous. What? She’s putting out a record with Tony Bennett? Actually, that’s very cool.
