POP + Offworld 128 Cadillac Square, Detroit; 313-961-9249 For three years, the nomadic arcade Offworld was just a couple pop-ups around downtown Detroit until last month. The wonderful POP space above the Checker Bar sat slightly underutilized before POP+ Offworld, featuring an arcade, full bar, and pizzeria.

Ready Player One 407 E Fort St., Detroit; 313-395-3300 Ready Player One features the best arcade games from the 1980s and 1990s. This is a spot where you can remember the good times.

Gather Detroit 1454 Gratiot Ave., Detroit; 586-850-0205 Gather an Eastern Market restaurant specializing in local foods that are cooked above a wood-burning grill reopened this month. This time, you can expect more of a focus on seasonality, local sourcing, and veggies, as Gather brings strong relationships with local farmers. Among those partnerships are Keep Growing Detroit, Grow Eastern Market, Farm Field Table, Coriander, Fairway Packing, Avalon, Calder Dairy, Cherry Capital, Fortune Fish, R Hirt, Werp Farms, and Fluffy Bottom Farms.

Eastern Market Brewing Co's 2515 Riopelle St., Detroit; 313-502-5165 The space including garage doors that swing up to provide an open air feel faces the street. Expect a traditional beer tap and utilized market ingredients.

Shake Shack (troy) 850 W Big Beaver Rd., Troy; 248-817-1529 The burger joints keep coming! This is the second New York-based location to come to metro Detroit. The classic burgers, hot dogs, and crinkle cut fries never get old.
