Summer wouldn't be complete without an appearance by the transcendent Brian Wilson.

It was announced Wednesday that the iconic composer and songwriter would join psychedelic pop greats the Zombies for a time-warping joint tour, including a performance at Detroit's Masonic Temple on Sept. 24.

The 15-date tour, which kicks off at the end of August, is billed as the “Something Great from ’68" Tour and will see Wilson performing songs from 1968's Friends as well as 1971's Surf's Up with former Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chapman.

For the tour, the Zombies will open each show with a full run-through of their seminal 1968 record, Odessey and Oracle — with Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone, once again, performing with original members Chris White and Hugh Grundy for the majority of the North American trek.

Wilson, now 76, last performed in Detroit in 2016 for a Pet Sounds-heavy 35-song set at the Fox Theatre. “Are you here for bad vibrations?” he asked. “Are you here for not-very-good-but-just-okay vibrations?”

We'll take good vibrations any day, Brian.

Tickets ($35.50+) go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 10, and can be purchased here.
