When it comes to techno parties, Italian-phenom Marco Carola has cemented himself as one of the world's most highly sought after DJ acts.

The longtime Ibiza resident has built a reputation with his marathon DJ sets, some of which have expanded in excess of 30 consecutive hours. Using an unorthodox three-deck system and coming with a deep library of records in tow, Carola's coveted Music On parties have helped the Napoli-native to cultivate a global audience.

Regularly keeping to European nightlife hubs, or the occasional U.S. gig in Miami or New York, Marco Carola is making a rare Detroit appearance outside of Movement Music Festival. On Friday, March 8, Paxahau Presents will bring Marco Carola to the Magic Stick for an intimate Music On party featuring support from hometown selector Stacey Pullen.

Doors open at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 8 at the Magic Stick; 4120 Woodward Ave.; Detroit; 313-833-9700; ticketweb.com; Tickets are $25+.
