Nothing brings back memories of the summer of 1999 quite like the stylings of Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas with special guest and up-and-comer, Carlos Santana. Not only was "Smooth" the last no. 1 song of the '90s, it was also the first no. 1 song of the new millennium. In other words, it's timeless.

OK — so we are only sort of kidding. Yes, "Smooth" is, in fact, the second most successful song of all time (according to Billboard's Hot 100 chart), but Thomas was actually the featured artist on the track, as Santana is an icon and he's embarking on a tour (without Thomas) with fellow heavy-hitters, the Doobie Brothers.

Carlos Santana will visit the DTE Energy Music Theatre on Aug. 11 as part of his Supernatural tour, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of his landmark record of the same name (the one with "Smooth" on it), as well as the 50th anniversary of Santana's historic Woodstock performance (not the one with literal dumpster fires).

Tickets ($47+) go on sale Friday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased by visiting
