If there are two people you can entrust a sweat-inducing DJ set with, it’s our electro-funk neighbors from the north, Chromeo. Since 2002, longtime friends David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel have released five studio records under their Chromeo moniker, each one leaning harder and harder into their Hall & Oates-inspired house groove. Take their 2018 release, Head Over Heels, on which they offer their counter-argument to “Rich Girl” with their sax and key-heavy “Slumming It.” While the Montreal duo might be swapping the stage for the DJ booth, no one is better suited to have you making and breaking New Year’s resolutions in one full shimmy. Now, if only there was a disco ball...

Chromeo will DJ at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29 at Deluxx Fluxx; 1274 Library St., Detroit;; Tickets are $45.
