After Michigan’s horrific winter, a Vacation in Hell sounds pretty good right about now — and hip-hop bad boys Flatbush Zombies are here to stamp your passport.

Composed of Beast Coast rappers Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, and Eric Arc Elliott, Flatbush Zombies follow-up to 2016’s 3001: A Laced Odyssey is flush with menace, mischief, and low-key morosity. “Love hurts/ ask Courtney, she killed Kurt,” Darko spits on “Ask Courtney”, one of several of the album’s references to Kurt Cobain. No headstones are left unturned with Flatbush Zombies brand of revelrous ratchetry

Flatbush Zombies will perform at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on Tuesday, May 15; Doors open at 7 p.m.; 318 W. Fourth St., Royal Oak; 248-399-2980;; Tickets start at $25.
