Ezra Furman is on the heels of Transangelic Exodus — which is both the title of his seventh album released earlier this month and quite possibly the most accurate description of what the 31-year-old indie-pop prince sounds like. Whether you’re under a disco ball, under the weather, or under the impression you might not have it all figured out, Furman’s sound is tailored for feeling yourself. Shoulder-shimmying saxophone solos and Patrick Wolf meets Mika meets the best damn weekend you’ve ever had, Furman is a glittering soundtrack for getting out of the emotional gutter and into the world. Detroit's own Anna Burch opens.

Ezra Furman will perform wsg Anna Burch at The Loving Touch on Thursday, March 1 at 8 p.m.; 22634 Woodward Ave., Ferndale; 248-820-5596; thelovingtouchferndale.com; Tickets are $12.
