Is there a better way to celebrate the end of summer than some face-melting metal? Radio station 101 WRIF proudly presents the RIFF FEST, a one-night-only explosion of the world’s best metal. You’ll get to hear from lesser-known acts like Greta Van Fleet and Fozzy, but the real fun comes later in the evening when legends like Five Finger Death Punch and motherfuckin’ Rob Zombie take the stage and shred your heart (and your eardrums) into a million tiny pieces.

Rob Zombie performs at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Friday, Sept. 29.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m.; 7774 Sashabaw Rd., Clarkston; 248-377-0100; palacenet.com; Tickets $25 for lawn, $55, $85, and $90 for pavilion.
