Seu Jorge is bringing a unique David Bowie tribute to Royal Oak

In 2004, Wes Anderson invited us to dive into his most surreal narrative to date. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou is filled with memorable performances and quietly heartbreaking narratives, but it’s soundtrack is perhaps its most influential character.
Anderson enlisted Brazilian singer/songwriter Seu Jorge to reimagine cover versions of David Bowie classics in Portuguese. Bowie himself admitted to hearing a new beauty in his songs when performed by Jorge and it is that very beauty he will be bringing to life.

Seu Jorge: The Life Aquatic, a David Bowie Tribute takes place on Monday, Sept. 18 at Royal Oak Music Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. at 318 W. Fourth Street, Royal Oak. For more info call 248-399-2980 or go to royaloakmusictheatre.com. Tickets are $35-$55 in advance, and $40-$55 day of.
