It's been 7 years since Gorillaz have done any sort of touring, so that's why today's announcement that the band is playing the Fox Theatre during a huge North American tour is so exciting.

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the masterminds behind Gorillaz, have a new album coming out on April 28 called Humanz and features Detroit's Danny Brown on a track. Will we get a surprise visit from Brown when Gorillaz takes he stage at the Fox on September 18? We're hoping that's a yes.

Other collaborators on the album include Pusha T, Mavis Staples, Jehnny Beth of Savages, De La Soul, D.R.A.M., and many more.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 21. You can grab them here.
