In December of last year, djkage dropped D-Imports Vol. 2, a collab project that featured more than 30 of Detroit’s most talented emcees. One of the hottest tracks, “Song of Victory” made it into Metro Times' top ten singles of 2015.

7 months later, D-Imports Vol. 2 is finding its second wind with today’s release of the video for “Song of Victory” featuring Valid, Ron D., Negus Arubis, and Mic Phelps spitting in front of some of the big axel’s most notable spots.

“With the song, I tried to represent just a slice of what Detroit has to offer as far as MCs. With the video, I just wanted to showcase a slice of the city as well. The project is about showcasing the best of Detroit to the rest of world. This first video I just tried to stay consistent with that mantra: The SONG is ALL about the LYRICS. And I wanted the video to maintain that as well,” djkage says.
