Warren G is coming to Detroit to take us back to the magical musical days of 1994 by performing all of his classic album, Regulate…G Funk Era. A true gem from the golden era of hip-hop, this album is a staple in the development of the West Coast and g-funk sounds. The mellowed-out sound contrasting with  hard lyrics about growing up in Long Beach earned this album two Grammy nominations. Come out and see what the hype is all about.

Friday July 22nd @ St. Andrews Hall. Doors at 8 p.m., St. Andrew’s Hall, 431 E. Congress St., Detroit; saintandrewsdetroit.com; $29.
