Recently premiered on Fader's website, Oak Park singer and producer John FM's new single "Broken" is a four minute techno-soul jam that you won't want to end.

After collaborating with local techno legend Omar-S, John FM is becoming a legend in his own right. The music and culture website is calling him a prodigy, but his music speaks for itself. Listen to the new single and more on his Soundcloud.

John FM provided us with some words to accompany the feelings conveyed through his distorted vocals:

"Often when we find ourselves misunderstood, betrayed, neglected, etc., it can be easy to fall into a pit of anger and feel a little more righteous then the offender, following with 'I would never do that'. Instead, we're so focused on the self, that most times we can't even look past our ego to find that we've committed the same offense to someone else in the past. In a nutshell, we're all pieces of shit."
