Premiere: Brand new video from Flint rockers KING 810, shot in Hamtramck

KING 810 have allowed us to premiere their dramatic, black and white video, shot in Hamtramck, of this new string quartet version of their emotional track "devil don't cry." This coincides with the release of a limited and hand-numbered, two song, one-sided 10" vinyl EP, just released today. The EP is called that place where pain lives…, and it features an etching on the other side, plus the two tracks are the one in the video plus a song called "bad man," which features UK singer/songwriter RosieMay. You can buy it here.

Frontman David Gunn sent along the following statement about the video, which is his directorial debut:

Until this video, all of our videos had been shot in Flint. When I set out to shoot the "devil" video, I knew an important part would be finding a real string quartet to play the music. Using actresses just wouldn't be right, it needed to be authentic. I got connected with the Professor of Orchestra at Wayne State and with his help, locked in a talented quartet of his students. On top of that I had already worked with a handful of Detroit film crews in the past so it was a better play to go to them rather than bring everyone to me. We ended up shooting in a row of art houses in Hamtramck. Detroit and Flint are in the same boat really, so I'm glad we could keep it local.
