Fri. Oct. 16 and Sat. Oct. 17: PJs Halloween Cover Show #7!

Posted By on Fri, Oct 16, 2015 at 12:19 PM

It's that time of the year, when many Detroit musicians put massive amounts of energy into briefly dressing up and playing songs by one of their favorite bands. Sure, they also do this in other cities, but in my personal experience they do not do it with quite the perfect amount of caring/ not caring as they do in Detroit. You've been to one of these things, so you know what I'm talking about. The PJs event wins for best flyer this year, and the show itself looks super rad; check the lineup in the below text lifted from PJs site — more info on the event here, OK!

PJ's Lager House
Friday, October 16 / Saturday, October 17

Live music!
Haunted house record store!

DETROIT'S premier Halloweeny Cover Band show is back! Now in its seventh year, the event continues the tradition—local musicians getting together last minute to dress up and perform as their favorite acts with surprising precision—with two big nights of music. As always, expect a wild, uproareous time when you join in on the fun and madness. Topped off with a haunted-house basement record store clerance sale and a spooky dance party!

Friday night promises a frighteningly amazing lineup on 2 stages! WEEN (members of Dread Wings and Slufter), THE BREEDERS (members of Casual Sweetheart and Double Winter), MORRISSEY (After Dark Amusement Park), GIORGIO MORORDER (John Krautner Band), BAUHAUS (Primitiv Parts), CAPTAIN BEEFHEART (Caveman Woodman and friends), THE DONNAS (members of Deadbeat Beat and Twine Time), and MUDHONEY (members of Tin Foil, Night of the Night Bees and others).

Saturday night join Beehive Recording Company's own DJ Spooky Time and his scary pop machine with a bar-room dance party for the ages! Along with THE ROLLING STONES (3ft), THE ZOMBIES (members of Bad Party, Tin Foil, Sugarcoats and Market), THE LOVIN' SPOONFUL (Colorwheel), and more surprise bands to be announced!

Each night is only the low low price of $4! With basement bargain prices in the haunted-house record store! Chilling shot specials! Costumes are encouraged for people who aren't boring!
