Bernie Sanders makes Detroit punk reference

Posted By on Thu, Oct 1, 2015 at 4:52 PM

Weeell, not really. It's more like somebody made a meme of Bernie Sanders making a Detroit hardcore punk reference. It's part of "Berned in D.C." — a Facebook page composed of memes of Bernie Sanders with a punk sensibility screen-printed over him. We're not sure yet if it's the work of "Sandernistas" trying to put their candidate over the top by pasting on some anti-authoritarian street cred or just a festival of irreverent Internet meme culture. Either way, it's pretty funny. Especially because there's no way an old coot like Sanders loves Negative Approach.
