Nearly a decade after the untimely death of J Dilla, the prolific hip-hop producer is still releasing records.

The latest comes in the form of Dillatronic, a sprawling set that features more than 40 rare instrumental tracks unearthed from Dilla's archives. The record drops Oct. 30 and will be available on vinyl, CD, cassette, and more in a variety of limited edition packages.

Sanctioned by Dilla's mother, the release was compiled by fellow Detroit-based DJs Alien Villainz and is released by Vintage Vibez Music Group. According to a release, the collection will highlight Dilla's various Detroit influences, including the sounds of techno.

“You can hear it in songs like ‘Raise It Up’ for Slum Village or ‘Make It Hurt’ for Busta Rhymes,” says former collaborator Young RJ in the release. “The Detroit influence is part of what gave him an edge in production.”
