Fans of outlaw country and general awesomeness have a great show to look forward to next month. Geniuses Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard will play the Fox Theatre together on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $49, $69, $79 and $129. They go on sale this Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m., and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com.
The two artists have a long history together, of course (just google "outlaw country"). They are touring behind their recent record, Django and Jimmie, the follow-up to their 1983 collaboration Pancho & Lefty. the new record features 14 joint studio recordings, including the cheeky sure-to-be-crowd-pleasers “It’s All Going to Pot“ and “Alice in Hulaland.”
