When I first met Ben Blackwell about six years ago , I was super impressed by his ferocious devotion to crate-digging. I remember him saying he'd buy any obscure Detroit record that he'd never heard of, on the off chance that it might be great.

Ben, who believes he's found the first Detroit hip-hop 12", is one of the main forces behind Third Man records, was the White Stripes' archivist, runs the Cass record label, is a solo artist, has done some great compilation records. Anyway, this is one video of a guy talking about his record collection that you might actually want to see.
