Uno Lady will perform at PJ's Lager House tonight

Posted By on Mon, Oct 20, 2014 at 1:02 PM

You've probably heard of something called a "one-woman show." But, have you heard of a one-woman choir? It kind of sounds like a oxymoron, but it is a real thing. And it's called Uno Lady.

More specifically she is called Uno Lady. Her real name is Christ Ebert and she's pictured here. She's from Cleveland, Ohio, but she's performing in Detroit tonight.

Her sound is described as such: "Never classically trained yet always exploring her wide range, Uno Lady relies only on her voice for musical accompaniment. With a microphone, small mixer, and loop pedal perched upon a DIY lit podium, layers of vocals entrance, explore, and invoke emotions. Haunting, serene, and always captivatingly beautiful, Uno Lady creates spell like loops, spinning you into her musical web."

If that sounds like something that tickles your fancy, or if you're already Uno Lady's number one fan, doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets are $15. PJs Lager House is at 1254 Michigan Ave., Detroit. Check for more info.
