Giving Songs a Hand -Benefit Concert- Saturday @ Park Bar

Posted By on Wed, Jun 12, 2013 at 3:28 PM

The weekend's on it's way and we've got something much nobler to contribute your funds to (besides the rest of your fuming gas tank or just another bar's regular ol' band batch) - A celebration of art and music to benefit Giving Songs.

Giving Songs a Hand is a fundraiser for a Michigan-based non-profit run entirely by volunteers to raise funds and provide resources to families with blind and multi-disabled children. Saturday Night, the Park Bar (2040 Park Ave) hosts a benefit concert featuring works of art from Lucky Monkey Tattoo, Tony Roko, Kill Taupe, Sabrina Nelson, and many more artists. In addition to the common canvas, artists will also spotlight their work on hand-shaped guitar hangers donated by GuitarGrip.

But this is the Music Blahg - so let's get to the Music: Amy Gore & Her Valentines with an appearnce by the Retro Girls - and an opportunity to win a Fender Stratocaster signed by Detroit's-own Mitch Ryder. Tickets for the event can be purchased at All event proceeds will go to support Giving Songs in their mission to help blind, multi-disabled children.
