City Slang: Blowout prepares to blow minds at SXSW

Posted By on Tue, Mar 12, 2013 at 8:44 PM

The expansion of our Metro Times Blowout continues this week at SXSW.

On Thursday, March 14, at Ten Oak in Austin, Texas (located at 409 Colorado Street, between West 4th and West 5th Street, in downtown Austin), the first Metro Times Blowout Stage will kick ass at SXSW, with five awesome bands representing Detroit music and one Austin local, the Jade Idol, kicking things off.

Next up is the Sights (9-9.40 p.m.), then the Jamaican Queens (10-10.40), then Passalacqua (11-11.30).

The Hounds Below play from 11.50-12.30, and the evening will be headlined by the mighty Death.

That’s rock ’n’ roll, punk, hip-hop and so much more, all heading overfrom Detroit to rip Austin a new one.

Go get ‘em, boys.
