City Slang: Jack gets mad

Posted By on Mon, Oct 1, 2012 at 9:57 AM

According to Classic Rock Magazine, Jack White cut his set short to just 45 minutes at New York’s Radio City Music Hall because of, depending on who you believe, a heckler, the sound in the venue, or the audience’s response. “Audience members stayed outside the theatre shouting “Fuck Jack White” for some time after security staff escorted them from the hall,” writes Martin Kielty.

Also at Classic Rock, veteran writer Geoff Barton has written a great piece about five forgotten shock rock bands from the ‘70s who were uglier than our Alice Cooper.

Gracing the list are the Sic Fucks, Bitter Blood Street Theatre, Zior / Monument, Coven and Death SS. Check it out.
