City Slang: Rogue Satellites presents Daytripper series

Posted By on Thu, Aug 9, 2012 at 8:08 AM

This Saturday, Corktown Studios along with resident band, electro-popsters the Rogue Satellites, will present the first in a new monthly series of daytime shows.

Along with the Rogues, the Philter will be performing. The music will start at 3 p.m. And end around 5 p.m.

“The Philter is an indie surf trio (sometimes duo) with music characterized by driving surf leads and reverb-drenched distortion. Their music is further defined by lush swells of ambient sound and dark, melancholy lyrical content.”

“Rogue Satellites is a 2-piece space rock outfit that is strongly influenced by visual art. They are currently entrenched at Space Camp studios while they finish their 2nd (1st with their current line up) full-length album, Other Angels.”

It all sounds very interesting. You can go out and have a pre-show show, grab some food, then go to another gig. Awesome.
