City Slang: For the benefit of Scott Morgan

Posted By on Mon, Mar 19, 2012 at 6:01 AM

There will be a benefit at 1477 Grill (the venue formerly known as Mario’s) in Troy on April 14 for Rationals, Sonic’s Rendezvous Band and Powertrane singer and guitarist Scott Morgan.

The organizers have put a stellar bill together for Morgan, one of Detroit rock n’ roll’s true gems. Morgan is suffering from severe liver disease and ascites. Those medical bills will likely rocket pretty fast, and so the suggested donation on the night is $10.

For that ten bucks though, you get the Howling Diablos, Gorevette, Frijid Pink, Gary Quackenbush and the Motor City Rah-Rahs, plus MCs Doug Podell and Steve Kostan from WCSX.

A great cause – great music for a great man.
