Danny Brown (the Model) Posing in New York Times Style Magazine

Posted By on Mon, Sep 12, 2011 at 11:35 AM

Yesterday morning, while flipping through the Sunday version of the New York Times, a strange nugget of Detroit music minutia jumped out at me. Actually, I'd already bypassed the newspaper itself and was thumbing through T Magazine, the paper's highly couture style mag, when i noticed Danny Brown's mug starring back at me. I'd recognize that 'do anywhere having inked a cover story on the guy several months ago. It's Danny alright posing with A-Trak and Party Supplies of Fools Gold Records.

Now the reality is, this is not the most masculine image of the guy and it's not surprising that the social media savvy rapper hasn't tweeted it out yet like he does most other forms of publicity that he receives. It's still a cool piece of random press to add to his onslaught of attention that he's raking in lately. In the photo shoot, Danny is modeling a Giorgio Armani jacket worth $3,595, an Armani vest that retails at $1,295, a $570 Marni hat, a $92 t-shirt, and $180 pants, both from Alexander Wang. Dude got decked out in nearly $6,000 worth of gear for a photo shoot. Tweet that shit homie!
