City Slang: Counterculture Voices at the Kerrytown Bookfest

Posted By on Sun, Sep 11, 2011 at 8:51 AM

On Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m., the Kerrytown Bookfest in Ann Arbor will host a panel discussion called Counterculture Voices, followed by a book signing / meet-and-greet.

On the panel will be, well, me. I will there as the author of MC5: Sonically Speaking and The Stooges: Head On. Also on the panel will be former Creem editor Susan Whitall, author of many books including the recent Fever: The Fast Life and Mysterious Death of Little Willie John and the Birth of Soul.

The final voice will be Ken Wachsberger, who has a new book out called Voices From the Underground. The panel will be moderated by Fifth Estate founder Harvey Ovshinsky.

All of the writers, including myself, will be on hand after the panel at around 5 p.m. to sign books and chat. Hope to see you there.
