Ann Arbor's Buff1 Goes to New Zealand

Posted By on Thu, Jan 6, 2011 at 11:44 AM

Ann Arbor's Buff1 is grinding it out hard these days. He recently dropped an album with turntable legend DJ Rhettmatic called Crown Royale that's being received well nationally. And considering the way he's hovering around longtime friend Mayer Hawthorne in Los Angeles and touring regularly, one gets the impression that 2011 ought to be one worth remembering for Buff1 fans.

He's already starting this year off by dropping a new video that he shot while touring New Zealand. The song's called "Eyes on Success" and features Auckland rapper David Dallas doing vocals and New Zealand producer P-Money on the beat. It was shot by New Zealand graffiti king Askew One. I think it's great that Buff1 was keen enough to fly out to an assumed non hip-hop market like New Zealand to build bridges and get things popping. Let's see if anyone else from Michigan can take advantage of that. For now, just enjoy the video and be on the lookout for more Buff1 material dropping later this year.
