Iggy Guests On Praxis Track: Listen Here

Praxis is the lovechild of master producer of the weird and wild Bill Laswell.  Along with a slew of others, Laswell has worked with the Stooges, Herbie Hancock, Brian Eno & David Byrne, and Funkadelic.  Across their dozen or so albums, the core of Laswell's avant-garde  Praxis has been comprised of fellow virtuoso crazies  Buckethead on guitar, Bernie Worrell on keys and Brain (of Primus fame) on drums.

Previously only available in Japan,  the lost album Profanation will finally see a proper release here in the States and features a track with none other than Iggy Pop. The record, in the words of Laswell, is best described  "as the sequence of doom." In addition to Pop, the album features System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian, Mike Patton, RAMM:?LL:Z??, Doctor Israel, and Wu-Tang protégé Killah Priest.

For some vintage Laswell and Hancock check out this live version of the seminal "Rockit" or the original awesome robot dance throwdown here.
