REMEMBERING PROOF

We're a little late on this...but better late than never...

Slain Detroit hip-hop legend Proof was honored by fans and family last Friday (April 11th) to commemorate the two-year anniversary of his death. A candlelight vigil was held during the late afternoon at Woodlawn Cemetery, where the artist was put to rest six days after his 2006 death. The cemetery was where his funeral was held in front of a crowd of 2,000 people, including the rapper's best friend Eminem, who eulogized Proof. on that day. Proof (real name: Deshaun Holton), was shot at the age of 32, following an altercation outside of the CCC Club on East Eight Mile Road following an altercation.
