FAMOUS LAST WORDS

Posted By on Wed, Oct 17, 2007 at 1:59 PM

Ironically, we just got a press release from Atlantic Records, reporting that Kid Rock's new Rock 'N' Roll Jesus album is debuting at #1. No, the high chart position isn't what's ironic ... but what Bob has to say about it sorta is:

"I want to thank Punch Andrews for his guidance, friendship, and hard work throughout my career. This couldn't have happened without him."

He also added: "And to my fans, for once again giving me a great excuse to throw a big party. I look forward to celebrating with them soon.

"And to everyone else, welcome to Haterville, population: YOU."

OK, then. Be careful, though, Bob. As even the ancient Greeks woulda told you, hubris can often come back to bite you in the ass.

Kid Rock: Leaving Haterville?
