Gore galore

Full disclosure: I used to work for this band and on a personal level, I think they’re terrific human beings.

But

I suppose that's why hearing that the Gore Gore Girls were recently signed to Bloodshot Records in Chicago — the label that launched and/or facilitated the careers of Neko Case, Ryan Adams, The Old 97’s, the Legendary Shack Shakers and many others — made me puff up with pride. Someone should give props.

You'll note, Bloodshot signed local outfits the Detroit Cobras and the Deadstring Brothers last year. Here's what we wrote: Motown Badasses by Brian J. Bowe and World on a string by Brian J. Bowe.

Over the years the GGG have been main tour support for the Cramps (twice) and are sponsored by Gretsch Guitars.

Looking forward to seeing what's next.
