It's National Cat Day

Posted By on Wed, Oct 29, 2014 at 1:40 PM

Hug a cat, pet a cat, adopt a cat, pretend to be a cat: Whatever you do, it's National Cat Day. The pseudo holiday is presented by Blue, which is a cat food, so take that for what it's worth. But we thought we take this moment to let you know that today is a day to celebrate cats. Because everyone loves cats. In fact, Buzzfeed would cease to exist if the world collectively quit taking pictures of cats.

If you're a cat lover, take a moment to check out this short list of local shelter sites. There are a lot of cats that need loving homes.

Wyandotte Animal Shelter
Berman Center for Animal Care
