World to end next month on Oct. 7

Were you all excited to see that Chvrches show at the Masonic Oct. 8? Bad news, dude. The world is coming to an end Oct. 7. Prepare yourself.

Or at least that's the message behind an interesting tract that came to us in the mail. The pamphlet tells us that the door to Heaven was shut on May 21, 2011, and there is now "a strong likelihood" (love the way they qualify it) that "the end of the world" is at hand.

The last time this happened was back in May of 2011. That's when we reported on a big party at the Russell Industrial Center to celebrate the end of the world. Unfortunately, the world did not end. (We did, however, suffer through an awful hangover.)

So if you heard it here first, remember it. When you borrow some money, just make sure you have to pay it back after Oct. 7. You might just come out ahead.
