Queer Anarchy!

Since 1993, the T-Plex has hosted poetry slams, live music, drag shows, zine workshops, themed fundraisers, and thousands of international artists and wandering souls in addition to a revolving door of like-minded local residents.

Now, the Trumbullplex is kicking off a two-day bash with Quix Women and Queers comedy night, followed by a ’90s-themed drag show and a bunch of booty-poppin’ deejays. Saturday’s all-ages festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and will include crafts, live music, a raffle, and a puppet show.

Trumbullplex 25th Anniversary will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24 and 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Trumbullplex; 4210 Trumbull St., Detroit; 313-832-7952; trumbullplex.org; Admission is a suggested donation of $6-$10.
