Jude Angelini is a metro Detroit native, Sirius XM Radio Shade 45 host, and (at least for daytime TV talk show viewers of a certain age) perhaps best known as "Rude Jude," a memorable recurring guest on The Jenny Jones Show.

He's also a published author. Angelini's memoir, Hyena, got picked up by Simon & Schuster in 2014, a collection of anecdotes that are at once hilarious and brutal, detailing his struggles with sex and drug addiction and growing up in metro Detroit.

A follow-up, Hummingbird, was released by Rare Bird Books last month. It continues with Hyena's rapid-fire clip and blunt force, and like Hyena, Hummingbird is utterly captivating. I finished it in one sitting.

This Saturday, Oct. 7, Angelini will make an appearance from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Marble Bar, where he'll be selling and signing copies of Hummingbird. Who knows if "Rude Jude" will be on display (when we sat down with him in 2014, he was polite), but it is a chance to pick up a copy and meet a hometown hero.

In the meantime, enjoy these clips of Rude Jude from Jenny Jones:
