Revisit the David Lynch classic 'Eraserhead' with back-to-back midnight screenings

David Lynch does not make art for the faint of heart, nor are his films suited for those unwilling to dabble into “dreams of very troubling things.” His first full-length feature film, Lynch’s Eraserhead is still uncomfortably surreal in 2017. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Eraserhead as a midnight movie may make for a telling first date, or perhaps a good night to call it quits with that guy who has never seen Twin Peaks. Either way, Lynch remains a perfect screening system for those who just don’t get it.

Screenings begin at midnight Friday, Dec. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 30 at the Main Art Theatre; 118 N. Main St., Royal Oak; 248-542-5198; landmarktheatres.com; Tickets are $7.
