Party like Gatsby at this weekend's Great Gatsby Gala

For fans of the Roaring 20s, it's time to dust off that cloche hat or dinner jacket, with the Great Gatsby Gala taking places at the Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Township this weekend.

Attendees can expect live music from singer William Raveau and Party Pros DJs, along with dinner, cocktails by Miss Mixology, a silent auction and informal tours of the historic grounds, designed by Albert Kahn and built in 1928 by the Packard Car Company. Some proceeds from the event will be used to restore the grounds.

It all takes place 6-11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site, 49965 Van Dyke Ave., Shelby Township; $50 per person or $350 for a table of eight; see ppg-greatgatsbygala.eventbrite.com buy tickets online.
