Legendary artist FUTURA exhibition opens at Library Street Collective

Library Street Collective has announced the solo exhibition NEW HORIZONS by legendary graffiti artist FUTURA, which will open on Saturday, June 18th at 6pm. His artwork now appears on the billboard at 25 East Grand River, which has also previously showed the works of Revok and Shepard Fairey. 

FUTURA, formerly known as Futura 2000, got his start in New York City and has since worked with other renowned artists, including live painting during performances of punk rock musicians The Clash. He is considered a pioneer of abstract street art and is a successful graphic designer and gallery artist. 

Library Street Collective is a gallery located at 1260 Library Street, Detroit, specializing in cutting edge modern and fine art, with a focus on visual art in public spaces. Join them at 6pm on June 18th in welcoming FUTURA back to Detroit.
