This week's Horoscopes are coming out under an "old" Gemini moon. In the wee hours of the morning on July 14, the moon will move out of its old phase and approach newness as it enters the sign of the crab.
Cancer is a deeply layered and all-encompassing archetype, one that is hard to pin down in a nutshell. In the midst of aspects that will test even the most stalwart among us, the backdrop of Cancerian energy that will permeate the atmosphere over the next few days will see us rise or fall, depending upon how good we are when it comes to riding our emotions between one extreme and another. Shorter fuses will find it hard to keep a damper on things.
This will be complicated by an early morning aspect between the Moon and its Nodes, one that loans itself to the idea that we aren't in the mood to look at ourselves, monitor our behavior, or exert any control over our emotional responses. By itself this is no big deal, but by lunch time, tougher aspects between the Moon and Hades — and between Pluto and the Moon and Mars — could magnify the impact of whatever escapes our notice in the morning. My best advice would be to be acutely aware of where we're at emotionally and be careful to clear up any issues that come up before what is unexpressed starts to fester and erupts in a more disruptive manner. An aspect between transiting Saturn and the asteroid Psyche suggests that all of us are experiencing a huge amount of damage to, and through, "The Father." At the tail end of the Male Paradigm, this concept goes with the territory.
On a smaller scale we will see this aspect impact the males in our acquaintance and their relationship to the Father energy that has been passed down to them. Many men are coming to terms with where they are at as Paternal entities and what that means for them now that the Female Light has risen. On a broader scale we will benefit from noticing the extent to which our experience of our fathers echoes in the fabric of our lives, for better or worse.
Along with this, an opposition between Mars and Pluto is creating friction between the powers that be and the masses in their care. David and Goliath themes will ring true on multiple levels. Overcoming that which holds itself in power over us, both internally and externally, will be a huge part of the scenery. How we handle those issues will depend on how we relate to any situation that calls us to stand up for who we are when what we know to be true is violated by those who "Know not what they do."
This is what is called taking the high road. In this day and age, there is no longer any choice; it is always the only option. All of us are going through the ringer. Be mindful of where your motives are at, pay attention to the signs, and keep an eye on the thought that from here on out, all of our answers will be coming from within. ARIES (March 21-April 20): You would love to be ten steps ahead of the game but you happen to be right here in the moment, along with everyone else. On the days when you aren't wishing you were already there, you're OK with the thought that all things come to those who wait. If the need for immediate results has got you doubting your abilities, let go long enough to see that life is putting you to the test. This situation is begging you to understand that that which is worth our salt is born out of what we do for love and depends entirely on our ability to act, with love, from a place of integrity and authenticity.
TAURUS (April 21-May 20): You didn't see this coming. Now that you're in the thick of things it's clear that you have to change your focus or lose the best part of what you've been aiming for, for the last three years. As others give you a run for your money the better part of you is sharp enough to see where your security lies. It is important for you to be flexible in situations that for too long have been stuck in issues that rely too heavily on needing to be right. At this point, your strength lies in your willingness to give in and allow others to show you that you have a lot to learn about yourself.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20): You are full of hope that the wind in your sails will carry you further than you've gone so far. It's hard to say. At the moment everything depends on where you stand with others. Their actions, and opinions, and choices play a big role in how things are going to turn out. Adjusting the way you approach things is imperative. Up till now you have needed to call the shots. This time you may be better off giving sway to those whose needs and interests entwine with yours — for the moment, at least — because it is through them that your own success will be achieved.
CANCER (June 21-July 20): You are suspended between the door that just closed, and the one that is about to open. Not knowing what's next isn't easy for you, but that's where it's at right now. As forces from the past try to lure you back into things that are over and done, it's your job to remain clear about what you're here for. The further evolution of your soul depends upon your ability to embrace your truer calling. That means getting big enough to own it without letting it go to your head. Taking off for parts unknown may be what it takes to clarify things. A vision quest might be in order. LEO (July 21-Aug. 20): If you can zero in on the most important thing — and refine the scope of your activities — what is at present, too confusing for words, will simmer down and become easier to manage. You have fallen victim to what happens to us when we don't take the time to keep things trimmed as they grow. If you wonder how you're going to get things to change, start by noticing who and what sucks up too much of your time, and eliminate those influences from your life. SCORPIO (Oct. 21-Nov. 20): Holding your own in situations where other people don't know what they're doing is a theme for many of you. It's been stressful trying to keep it steady when every particle of your being is ready to explode. Within all of this, undercurrents of peace and calm keep reminding you that you have more control over every outcome than you realize. That being said, you are in the midst of things that are showing you how much better things go when we get out of the way and let life go. Don't complicate things. This will keep getting better if you remember to keep it simple. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21-Dec. 20): How much farther you can go within the framework you've created is hard to say. Infinite expansion defies all the laws of physics. For now it might be best if you stop to reflect on where you're going. Larger issues may call you to wonder if what made sense a few years ago is working out the way you planned. Be mindful of where the truth lies and give it as much room to breathe in your relationships as you give to love. Lots of things are coming to bear on the direction your life is taking. If anything, your faith in the thought that something new and different lies right around the corner is about to be met with opportunities that will take you in a different direction. Your path is changing. Your best-laid plans may need to be put to rest. If that's what appears to be the case, relax and know that it's time to let them go.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 20): Now that you're back to normal, it's your turn to focus on what you love the most. The next few weeks will be filled with enough of your heart's desire to quench the soul's need for refreshment. Anything that gives you inspiration is your ticket to ride. This could involve other people. It could also just be about you, finding your way to things that replenish the sense that you are alive.
